New Movie: Slap!
4/22/07

Hoorah film festivals!

Once again we've created a short that is not Otis Freescorn, because we simply don't have the time to begin such a huge film until Summer. Otis is still in the works though, and as we make revisions to the script and plan auditions, a few talented volunteers are creating a soundtrack from scratch! From what I've heard, you can start getting excited! The support we've gotten on Otis Freescorn is phenomenal, and we've barely began pre-production! I'm excited! Anyway, on to the matter at hand. Our school is holding a film festival in May, so last weekend we took three days to create a new short! It's called Slap, and it's not very plot based, but it's meant to make you chuckle. It's also probably our best movie as far as technical aspects go! The sound quality in the web version is a little bad, so i apologize for that, but I think it's audible for the most part. Click here to check it out!

Update on the Freescorn Situation
2/27/07

I told you I'd keep posting updates, so here I am.

Otis Freescorn is indeed in the works, however slowly. A few members from the glorious Glenbard West Forensics (Speech) Team, which I have the pleasure to be a part of, have offered their acting talents to us for this production, so we can start filming during Spring Break. On the more technical side of things, I've finished reworking the Myronic Studios "mustard bottle" intro to better fit the look of Otis Freescorn, so here are the first ten seconds of Otis Freescorn. Hopefully that gives you a taste of the mood this film is going to have...

I still want to do some work on the site to make it look less bland, and hopefully I'll replace that old filmstrip with something more... mustard-y. Maybe I'll get a staff page up too if I have enough time. Speaking of staff, until some of the other guys decide to start posting news posts, I'm going to stop signing my name after all of my updates after this. So for the last time, without further ado:

Why hello there,
We're finally planning a larger scale movie! It will be entitled, "Otis Freescorn," which you may or may not be able to discern from the poster above. We plan for it to be both our darkest and most advanced movie to date. With the first drafts of an actual screenplay already written, this will be far more planned out than any of the other films so far, and should result in more polished and stylized results. If you can't make out what a few of the things on the poster are, this should give you a feel for the dark and sort of cryptic style we're applying to "Otis Freescorn."
Stick around for updates on our progress, as we should get more material together, and we plan to start filming around the Spring!

Woah!
1/2/07

I'm alive!?
That's right, in only 6 days, it'll be a year since I last updated... ouch. That was definitely not planned by me or anyone else here at Myronic Studios. We fell into a bit of a slump, and I may release some of the garbage we produced in that time... but maybe not: We'll see. I want to do some stuff to the site, so keep your eyes open for changes around here, as I have a year of nothing to make up for. You may be wondering what prompted me to return. The answer is this, my friends: a fun little old-timey short called Tonic! Once again, I apologize and I'm making it a sort of new years' resolution to keep up with this site. Stick around to see what happens...

New Site!
8/11/2005

Howdy,
You may have noticed a change in style to our site with the new background and logo, but the changes are not only skin deep. Due to a new compression option, our movies, new and old, will now not only be better quality but also, appear at larger size. But don't worry! This doesn't mean longer loading times, because due to the new streaming settings, the movies will actually load the same speed or faster depending on the movie! Enjoy the changes!

Short Stuff
6/20/2005

Hello,
I wanted to start by apologizing for the lack of updates made to this website lately. We have been extremely busy working on movies for clients, but we have made a lot of money to fund this summer's collection of shorts. We have started production on the first one, and we hope to make use our many resources, among them, a greenscreen, a brand new effects program, and a few new techniques! We hope that we can bring you at least a couple more before the end of summer. Once school starts, the speed at which we can work slows down about 10 fold. Cheers!

CHEF TONY
1/29/05

¡Hola!
Not too long ago, the teacher of art technology at our school asked Myronic Studios to create a one minute "sample" of what students are capable of making with a camera and a computer. Of course we accepted the honor. This is what we came up with. Chef Tony

Christmastime!!!
12/21/04

Hewow!

The newest Christmas hit is, well, not so new at all. "He Sees You When You're Sleeping" was made December of 2003. Yes, it was made even before the official creation of Myronic Studios, so... we slapped the name on it, and sent it off to the World Wide Web. This year, we have created the sequel to the chilling horror flick, and it also is on the website. Enjoy!
